Barcelona Part III

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!  Mine was full of turkey, pumpkin pie, and visiting with my family.

Back to Barcelona…  (if you want to catch up, check out Part I and Part II)

Day 3

We couldn’t be this close to the Mediterranean Sea and not go to the ocean!

But first, we found a restaurant across the street with the most delicious milk – Majorcan milk with lemon, cinnamon and sugar.  Oh my yum!!  It was so incredibly delicious!

We caught a train and less than an hour later we were at the town of Sitges.  While the sun was out, it was still a little on the chilly side, so we didn’t venture into the water.  We did however, walk along the beach for aways, until we found a restaurant for lunch.

We spend the rest of the time meandering up and down the little streets and of course, enjoying some gelato!

Daylight started to fade and so we headed back to Barcelona.  It was nice being so close to the sea.  Being in a landlocked state, I’ve missed the sea.  Not that I went to the ocean a lot in Seattle, but it was always there.  Fortunately St Louis does have a river, but a river is not the same as the sound and smell of the ocean.
